Analogy: Just like every disc golfer strives for the perfect throw, God’s grace is like the ultimate ace—something we can’t achieve on our own, but He freely gives us. Our throws might fall short, but His grace covers the distance.
Grace =
God’s
Riches
At
Christ’s
Expense.
A shot too good to have been shot by anyone but God Himself.
Scripture Reference: “For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9, CSB)
Expanded Thought: In disc golf, perfection is a rare achievement, just like living a sinless life is impossible for us. Yet, God’s grace bridges the gap between our imperfection and His perfect standard, giving us what we could never earn on our own.
Salvation is a Gift from God
In that way, we’re all in the same boat. We cannot obtain salvation from our own good works.
